Ended up playing a lot of Fallout 3 a couple of weekends ago, as tribute, here’s a shot of the Washington DC subway system taken during the Rally to Restore Sanity.
I had a friend from college who provided me (through an interesting chain of favor swapping) with an awesome wedding photographer. He did a spectacular job on the wedding, and had us come in for a series of engagement photos in a real live photographic studio.
Back from vacation! I started running this picture yesterday and started out with circles – the detail cam in quite nicely, but it was not as interesting as I was hoping. I started it again this morning working with triangles and I’m much happier with the results.
I ran this one a couple of times – once until it was almost identical to the original photo (what’s the point in that?). This was the most interesting of the bunch.
Here’s a little fall color to go with the grey snowy morning that I’ve woken to.
Ran a job last night and ended up with some interesting detail after making the borders for the rectangles visible. Re-ran the job using circles and got a different sort of interesting detail. The wife suggests that I might add a stop/play/rewind option to the reader so that people can grab a screenshot whenever they get to the level of detail that they find appealing. I want to rewrite the reader at some point anyway, so it’s not out of the question.
